Gary Matthewman ist einer der führenden Liedbegleiter Großbritanniens und
musiziert weltweit mit zahlreichen Sängerpersönlichkeiten.
Er tritt regelmäßig in der Londoner Wigmore Hall auf, daneben in der Carnegie
Hall New York, dem Wiener Musikverein, dem Rudolfinum Prag, der Pariser
Philharmonie und dem Bolshoi Theater Moskau. In England spielte er bei Festivals
wie den BBC Proms, Aldeburgh, Brighton, Buxton, Leeds Lieder, Oxford Lieder und
Glyndebourne. Garys Bühnenpartner waren und sind Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Sumi
Jo, Nuccia Focile, Ailyn Pérez, Louise Alder, Siobhan Stagg, Christina Gansch, Joyce
DiDonato, Kate Lindsey, Caitlin Hulcup, Mark Padmore, John Mark Ainsley, Edgaras
Montvidas, Robin Tritschler, Sir Thomas Allen, Sir Simon Keenlyside, Roderick
Williams, Markus Werba, Benjamin Appl und Adam Plachetka. Seine Aufnahme von Schuberts Winterreise mit Matthew Rose wurde weltweit von der Kritik gefeiert und war ‚Aufnahme des Monats‘ im Gramophone Magazin und ‚CD der Woche‘ bei BBC Radio 3.
Er ist Professor für Vocal Repertoire am Londoner Royal College of Music und Vocal Coach beim Jette Parker Artists Programme an der Königlichen Oper Covent Garden in London.

Gary is Professor of Vocal Repertoire at London’s Royal College of Music, and a vocal coach for the Jette Parker Artists Programme at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden.
