PAUL RIVINIUS, KLAVIER
Paul Rivinius studierte nach dem Abitur Horn und Klavier an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt, bevor er 1994 in die Meisterklasse von Gerhard Oppitz an der Musikhochschule München aufgenommen wurde, welche er 1998 mit Auszeichnung abschloss.
Als Kammermusiker profilierte sich Paul Rivinius mit dem Clemente Trio, das 1998 den ARD-Wettbewerb gewann und als „Rising Star“ – Ensemble in den wichtigsten Konzertsälen der Welt gastierte. Außerdem musiziert Paul Rivinius seit seiner Kind- heit mit seinen Brüdern im RiviniusKlavierQuartett und ist seit 2004 zudem Pianist des Mozart Piano Quartet, welches 2018 den „Opus Klassik“ erhielt.
Daneben spielt Paul Rivinius mit der Sopranistin Camilla Tilling und namhaften
Künstlern wie Thomas Brandis, Christian Tetzlaff, Antje Weithaas, Lena Neudauer, Sharon Kam, Harvey Shapiro, Maximilian Hornung und ist regelmäßiger Gast bei Festivals wie dem Schleswig-Holstein-Festival,
„Spannungen“ Heimbach, Rheingau Musik Festival und Beethoven Fest Warschau. Zahlreiche Rundfunk- und CD-Produktionen dokumentieren seine künstlerische Arbeit. Paul Rivinius lehrte viele Jahre an der UdK und zuletzt als Professor für Klavierkammermusik an der HfM „Hanns Eisler“ in Berlin und lebt heute in München.
PAUL RIVINIUS, PIANO
After graduating from high school, Paul Rivinius studied horn and piano at the University of Music and Perfor- ming Arts in Frankfurt before being admitted to Gerhard Oppitz’s class at the Munich University of Music in 1994, which he graduated with honors in 1998.
As a chamber musician, Paul Rivinius made a name for himself with the Clemente Trio, which won the ARD competition in 1998 and has made guest appearances as a „Rising Star“ ensemble in the world’s most important concert halls.
Furthermore, Paul Rivinius has been making music with his brothers in the RiviniusKlavierQuartett since childhood and has also been the pianist of the Mozart Piano Quartet since 2004, which received the „Opus Klassik“ in 2018.
In addition, Paul Rivinius plays with soprano Camilla Tilling and well-known artists such as Thomas Brandis, Christian Tetzlaff, Antje Weithaas, Lena Neudauer, Sharon Kam, Harvey Shapiro, Maximilian Hornung and is a regular guest at festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, „Spannungen“ Heimbach, Rheingau Music Festival and the Beethoven Fest Warsaw. Numerous radio and CD productions document his artistic work. Paul Rivinius taught for many years at the UdK and most recently as a professor for piano chamber music at the HfM „Hanns Eisler“ in Berlin and now lives in Munich.
